The clinic is founded by a mother-daughter team, Sonia Bradley, DDS, and Dr. Luisa Ruck, DO, both of whom have personally undergone the treatments they recommend. This firsthand experience informs how care is approached: not as a menu of options, but as a curated set of services the team believes in and has vetted themselves.

Dr. Luisa Ruck completed her Family Medicine residency at the University at Buffalo, holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is both CCFP certified and DABFM board-certified. She is a CAMA member and certified in cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, PRP, and Sculptra. Every medical procedure at DermaScience is administered or supervised by Dr. Ruck directly.
Clinic operations are led by Sonia Bradley, DDS, who holds a Diploma in Advanced Medical Aesthetics and Laser Technology and brings over 15 years of patient relationship experience to her role. Registered Nurse Khena Diorico, BSc, holds dual nursing credentials from Ontario Tech University and Durham College, and currently works as an Emergency Nurse at Lakeridge Health. Her IV therapy administration experience spans high-acuity clinical settings; a level of competency well above what most aesthetic clinics carry.

Doctor Ruck is a dedicated Family Medicine and Cosmetic Medicine Physician practicing in the Durham Region. She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics (CAMA), and is Certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). She completed her Family medicine residency at the University at Buffalo and was awarded the Outstanding Service Award at graduation. Doctor Ruck obtained her Doctorate from the Arizona College of Osteopathic medicine, where she was also awarded a scholarship to obtain more experience in Osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Doctor Ruck has pursued hands on training and is certified in cosmetic procedures including Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, Platelet-Rich plasma and mesotherapy, Sculptra biostimulator, medical laser treatments.
In her spare time, Doctor Ruck loves spending time with her daughters and husband. She enjoys working out and spending time outdoors, as well as cooking and baking.

Khena Diorico is an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse with over 10 years of providing high-quality care to diverse patient populations. We are excited to have Khena as part of our team. Currently serving as an Emergency Nurse at Lakeridge Health, she excels in managing high-acuity patients, including advanced cardiac care, trauma stabilization, stroke assessments, and is particularly proficient in the safe and efficient administration of intravenous (IV) therapy.
Khena holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ontario Tech University (2023) and a Practical Nursing diploma from Durham College (2013). Throughout her career, she has demonstrated leadership by mentoring new nurses, managing operations as a charge nurse, and optimizing patient flow in fast-paced settings. With a strong commitment to continuous learning and a passion for enhancing patient care, Khena is an invaluable addition to our team, and we look forward to the contributions she will make in leadership and clinical excellence.
